Purchase and use terms
Using Sonano, purchasing, restoring access and refunds.

About Sonano
Sonano is developed and maintained by an independent developer. For product, purchase and usage questions, contact Sonano support at [email protected].
This page is for all Sonano users. The general use and material-rights sections cover both editions; follow your purchase channel for payment, restoration and refunds. Website purchases use the purchase email for license management. Mac App Store purchases use in-app restoration and Apple’s procedures. Purchases do not automatically unlock the other edition.
Free and Pro
Free includes 5,000 TTS characters, 30 minutes of transcription input audio and 2 minutes of voice-conversion input audio per day, with 3 saved cloned voices and 10 saved designed voices. Daily usage resets at midnight in the local time zone fixed when usage is first enabled; unused allowances do not roll over. App, HTTP API and MCP share one allowance.
Website Pro has a pre-tax list price of USD 19.99, paid once, with no subscription or automatic renewal. Applicable taxes and the final payment appear at checkout before you pay. Mac App Store regional prices are shown in the store. Pro removes those local usage and saved-voice count limits; models, generation quality and currently supported export formats are the same as Free. Resource, queue and input-safety limits still apply. External services you choose charge separately.
Playback, editing, saving and currently supported exports of existing work remain available when an allowance is exhausted or Pro becomes inactive.
Website license and devices
One website personal license covers the Sonano 1.x series on up to 2 active Macs at a time. It grants permission to use the software, not ownership of software or third-party model intellectual property. Future major versions are not automatically included in this purchase.
For a website purchase, verify your purchase email and activate on the target Mac. A signed device credential permits up to 14 days offline after a successful online check, then needs online verification again; this is not a 14-day subscription. The App attempts checks at startup, on returning to the foreground, after waking and at other supported times. Network failure alone is not a refund and does not delete local work.
Manage the license and devices in the App, deactivating an old device to release its slot. Contact support for hardware changes, identification errors or recovery problems; delivery or recovery trouble does not require another purchase.
Purchase, activation and restoration
Website purchase: Receive notifications at your purchase email, then verify that email and activate your Mac in the App. The customer page shows your order and activation instructions. Keep access to your purchase email; initial verification, activation and recovery require an internet connection.
Mac App Store purchase: Purchase in the Mac App Store edition and use its “Restore Purchases” action. Apple handles transactions and receipts; the website email-activation flow is not required. Licensing follows the store listing, terms shown at purchase and applicable Apple agreements.
Mail can be delayed or filtered. Contact [email protected] for missing notifications, an order under review or activation failures; do not pay again while a result is uncertain. Failed or unreasonably delayed delivery can be addressed through replacement delivery or a refund.
Refunds
Website purchase: Request a refund within 14 days after successful payment by contacting [email protected] with the purchase email and order identifier. This period does not reduce non-excludable rights under applicable consumer law.
Refunds are checked and processed through the payment channel. Arrival time depends on that channel; an immediate credit is not promised. A one-time purchase does not renew, so there is no subscription to cancel. Deleting the App or signing out of email alone is not a refund request.
A fully refunded website license cannot obtain new valid device credentials. A completely offline device may continue until its existing credential expires and updates on online verification; local work is not deleted. Mac App Store purchase: Request refunds through Apple under its review and refund rules. The website’s 14-day policy does not replace that process.
Voices, models and lawful use
You must own or obtain the rights and permissions needed for input text, audio, voices and other materials, and remain responsible for the final use. Pro does not grant rights to another person’s voice, name or work, or unrestricted commercial rights to every third-party model. Check the licenses of the model, voice and material you actually use.
Do not use Sonano for unlawful fraud, unauthorized impersonation or infringement of others’ rights. Confirmed abuse, fraud or invalid payment may restrict the affected license or online service; contact support for review. Suspending an online license does not mean remotely deleting local work.
Software and output limitations
AI output can be wrong. Review generated speech, transcripts and converted voices before use. Quality, processing speed and availability depend on local hardware, third-party models and selected services; fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted operation are not guaranteed. Keep your own backups of important material and projects.
These terms do not exclude liabilities, warranties or consumer remedies that cannot legally be excluded. Contact support to investigate defects, incorrect licensing or delivery problems.
Privacy and updates
See the privacy policy for personal-data handling. Revisions will show a date. Changes to purchased version coverage, device limits or refund promises will not use a silent webpage edit in place of required notice or legally required consent.
